The Ecole polytechnique de l'Université de Grenoble 1 (Polytech'Grenoble) is the Université Joseph Fourier's Engineering School. It trains engineers over a period of 3 years (from Bac +2 to Bac +5) in 7 specialist fields.

Diplôme de Recherche Technologique / Diploma in Technological Research) or a PhD are offered.
PathwaysThe Engineering course can be accessed based on academic record assessment, from university Bachelor's to Master's Degree level (see "Polytech Passport" [
Passeport Polytech] under the Bachelor's Degree in "Science, Technology and Health" at the UJF). In certain cases, engineering students may study for a double Master's Degree.
Educational approachThe course aims to train managers with a general, scientific and technological educational background, which is perfectly suited to meet business needs. It can be more or less general or specialised depending on the Engineering School. The approach is extremely varied.

From
Bac +2 to
Bac +5 (second to fifth year of university studies), scientific and technological education, constantly being updated, is complemented by a course in company organisation and economics as well as human resources management and coordination. Particular attention is paid to the teaching of languages, with a minimum level of proficiency in English being required in order to obtain the degree. The course also includes projects and internships within companies, in France or abroad, in the first, second and third years of study, totalling eight to ten months.
